About Us

Fen Drayton Pre-School provides a safe, friendly and caring environment for children from 2 ½ to school age. We offer the children a varied and spacious play environment at Fen Drayton Village Hall which has the benefit of green outdoor space overlooking the playing field. Fen Drayton Pre-School is a small Pre-School for up to 16 children offering them the opportunity to develop and grow in a very supportive environment, ensuring they are confident and ready for school.

The Pre-School is managed by an elected volunteer committee, all of whom are checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Committee oversee the governance of the Pre-School, and do a lot of work to help organise our numerous fundraising events which enable us to ensure we remain financially viable. We have particularly close links with Fen Drayton School and actively seek opportunities to do events together which helps familiarise the Pre-School children with a school setting.

Ofsted

Our most recent inspection was in March 2018 where upon we were awarded a Grade 2 or 'Good' judgement across all areas of the Ofsted quality and standards in early years provisions. Please do take time to read the full report which reflects extremely positively on the environment we provide, the learning experience the children have at our Pre-School and the way the Pre-School is managed. The staff and voluntary management committee recognise the need for continued improvement, and will be working towards the areas identified in the recent inspection in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please do contact Diane Warboys or our Committee Chairperson at the following email address: chairperson@fendraytonpreschool.org
